2010 - 2011 QUIZZING YEAR:

We studied I & II Samuel.  At our first quiz of the school year, which was held at Richmond Southside in November, we had one Red Level quizzer, who received a copper ribbon, and we had 4 Blue Level quizzers who did well and as a team placed 3rd!

The next quiz was in Hampton in January, and we had one Red Level quizzer, who received a copper ribbon, and we had three Blue Level quizzers, who received a copper, a bronze, and a gold with one perfect round!  Way to go, quizzers!

Our church hosted the March District Qualifier Quiz!  Our quizzers received:  ‎1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze, 2 copper.  Thank you to everyone who helped welcome the other churches from the Virginia District!

2009 - 2010 QUIZZING YEAR:

We studied the books of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth.

The 2009 Fall Invitational was held at Richmond Southside on November 21st.  Tidewater Central was well-represented!  The Blue Level team won FIRST PLACE!  Great work!  There were 55 total quizzers, representing 6 of the churches in the Virginia District.  Our Red Level quizzers received placements in Bronze, Silver, and Gold... and 3 of those quizzers were FIRST-TIMERS!  Our Blue Level quizzers individually received placements in Silver and Gold.  What a great accomplishment by each child and our coaches!

The Winter Invitational was held at Dinwiddie on February 13th, 2010.  Out of the 6 churches that participated, the Blue Level team from TCN won FIRST PLACE, again!  We had almost all gold ribbons in the Blue Level, with one of our own being the only quizzer with 2 perfect rounds!  Our two young Red Level quizzers earned a bronze and a silver.  Good work, TCN Quizzers!

The Qualifying Quiz was held at Hampton Church of the Nazarene on March 20th, 2010.  All of our TCN Quizzers qualified to go on to the 2010 District Quiz in April!

Again, our Blue Level Team received 1st place, with all of the team members receiving at least one perfect round of the two!  There were 3 gold recipients and 2 silver among our 5 Blue Level Quizzers.  Our 3 Red Level Quizzers did well, too, with 2 silver and 1 copper.  Congratulations to all of the Quizzers and coaches!

At the April District Quiz at the VA District Campground, our TCN Blue Level team succeeded in making a clean sweep of 1st place the entire Quizzing year!  Wow!  Great job, quizzers!

Most of our Blue Level quizzers received gold and at least one perfect round, qualifying them to move on to the Regional Quiz in June at Winchester Nazarene Church.

Our Red Level quizzers did well, receiving 2 bronze and 1 silver trophy, with one quizzer moving on to the Regional Quiz.

The June 2010 Eastern Region Quiz was a fun ending to the quiz year.  From all across the east coast, including states such as New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and of course Virginia, there was a total of 81 quizzers: 34 Red Level and 47 Blue Level.

The 1 Red Level quizzer representing Tidewater Central received a bronze, answering 78% of the 45 questions correctly... and they were difficult!  Our Red Level quizzer also quoted 15 of the 20 memory verses correctly.

The 2 Blue Level quizzers representing Tidewater Central both received gold, answering 95% (with one perfect round)  and 90% of the 60 questoins correctly.  One of the Blue Level quizzers recited all 20 of the memory verses correctly!
